developmental screenings

Recognising developmental delays early is crucial for providing timely support

Recognising developmental delays early is crucial for providing timely support during the most important stages of a child’s growth.

At Change for Life, we offer comprehensive developmental assessments for children aged 6 months onwards.  Parents receive detailed reports that can used for therapy funding or school funding and admission purposed. Our assessment reports are tailored resources to support your child’s developmental needs. Organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control highlight the value of developmental assessments in guiding proactive next steps, helping families move beyond the uncertainties of a “wait and see” approach.

Many developmental delays can be subtle and often go unnoticed until a child starts school. By identifying concerns early, families can access targeted support, leading to significantly improved outcomes for children requiring intervention.

Please note: This is a developmental screening, not a diagnostic evaluation. Fees apply.

  • The early years—especially the first five—are crucial for building skills that prepare children for school and beyond.
  • Regular check-ups with a pediatrician are important but may not always catch developmental delays early.
  • Developmental screenings are simple, quick, and don’t need any prior approval or referral to get started.
