Thriving at School is Change for Life’s intensive support program for children who are already attending school and require additional, structured intervention to support participation, learning, and regulation within the school environment.
Positioned as the next stage following Bright Beginnings and Growing Into School, this program supports children whose needs continue beyond transition and who benefit from ongoing, targeted support to engage meaningfully at school.
Intervention is individualised and focused on functional skills that directly support school participation, including:
Support is delivered through a combination of individual and small-group sessions, allowing children to practise skills in structured, predictable environments that reflect real school expectations. Strategies are designed to generalise across settings and support consistency between therapy, home, and school.
Families are actively involved and receive guidance to support skill development outside of sessions. Where appropriate, clinicians may collaborate with schools and educators to align strategies and promote continuity of support across environments.

The goal of Thriving at School is to support children to remain engaged in education, strengthen functional skills, and build the confidence and capability needed to participate successfully in their school community.
